Transition and Downsizing is represented by the Sun in my logo.

It signifies “a new beginning” for people who are making a momentous decision to downsize from a beloved family home to a smaller living space, senior residence, apartment or condo.

This is an emotionally and physically challenging experience for most people.

My goal is to ease and facilitate the process. I would like them to savour this new phase of their life and consider it a fresh start no matter what age or experience they have been through on the way. Services will include the mental and physical preparation of the transition and downsizing operation.

I recently used the services of Jane Guest/GentleMove to provide a plan of action and her staging skills in a home I was about to put on the market in Pointe-Claire South.

The home needed to be de-cluttered, cleaned, completely painted and then staged. My clients had only been in the home two years and hence the budget for getting the home in tip-top shape only allowed for the essential painting, removing of some dated fixtures, and replacing them, purchasing a few items to add a little focal point here and there.

Jane provided guidance via her detailed report and it was followed step by step by the owners. With her help, once all was sparkling clean, she came in to help hang pictures, move furniture around to offer the best use of the space in each room and add her personal touch to the overall effect. It was a group effort from start to finish.
